Russell Beaudoen has devoted his career to providing compassionate care, sensitivity and proactive representation to victims and their families of mesothelioma, asbestos related lung cancer and other asbestos diseases. He has helped obtain justice for those afflicted with preventable harms which resulted from corporate indifference and disregard for the health and safety of the American Worker.

Mr. Beaudoen has been involved in asbestos litigation since 1980. He began as an Investigator and then as an Attorney after completing Law School in the evenings at Detroit College of Law (Now known as Michigan State University College of Law), JD 1988. He was admitted as an Attorney to the State Bar of Michigan in May, 1988. Through the years, he has enjoyed a very close and connected relationship with clients, as well as, unions whose members were and continue to be at risk. Those unions include:

  • Michigan Building Trades (Asbestos Insulation Workers, Pipefitters, Plumbers, Bricklayers, Laborers Boilermakers, Millwrights, Iron Workers and more).
  • McLouth Steel, Great Lakes and Ford Rouge Steelworkers and UAW Auto Workers.
  • He has also had extensive involvement in representing individuals who worked at Detroit Edison, Marathon Oil Refinery, and numerous other notable work locations.

His strengths are his ability to communicate, assess and determine the best course of action toward maximizing value in any given case. He is acknowledged and regarded by both Plaintiff and Defense Attorneys as one of the most knowledgeable of asbestos product identification and knowledge. Mr. Beaudoen’s vast experience and knowledge has been a proven difference in maximizing case values. Such experience and knowledge has allowed him to also specialize in the very narrow and challenging field of Asbestos Phenolic Molding Compounds (Plastics) utilized for Injection Molding of either Electrical, High Impact or Heat Resistant Auto Parts such as molded commutators, distributor caps, transmission reactors and more. He also has extensive knowledge and experience with Naval exposure cases.

In 2016, after 33 years, Mr. Beaudoen left a prominent Michigan Asbestos Litigation Law Firm to pursue other asbestos litigation challenges including providing education and awareness to those Unions and individuals at risk of need to develop proactive medical monitoring protocols. While with the firm, he was involved in management of the Asbestos cases which included extensive involvement in negotiations, Docket management and case strategy. He also served as a member of the Wayne County Circuit Court’s Asbestos Steering Committee. Today, Mr. Beaudoen remains closely involved with union relations.

Currently, Mr. Beaudoen works closely with other Michigan attorneys experienced and knowledgeable in Asbestos Litigation and many other fields of law. He is also connected with prominent Asbestos firms around the country toward providing responsible representation of asbestos disease victims regardless of where asbestos exposure occurred.
